We’re coming up with some ideas to tell the world about just how rubbish wrapping paper is and how wonderful Evergreen Wraps are.

So far we thought we’d wrap ourselves head to toe in wrapping paper and run down Oxford Street -to demonstrate how easily wrapping paper rips, tears and creases of course. But then we realised that we’d probably end up starkers after two strides. Which although proving our point…. might prove just a tad humiliating.

Then there was this brilliant idea to wrap loads of boxes of chocolates up in Evergreen Wraps to show how pretty they looked and hand them our to folk on the street. But then I ate all the chocolate. I mean cough, errr the little goblin folk ate them…dammit! The cover was going so well.

So having scuppered the last two efforts we’re calling for ideas – any of you brilliant folk got any super brilliant ideas? (Which don’t include nakedness or little goblin folk.)

Just post them below or email us at hello@thegreengivingco.com

Have a lovely weekend, I’ve got to go speak to the boss about my chocolate “issues”. I hope he has some dairy milk.

Bella xx

At The Green Giving Co. Christmas is upon us once again. The greetings industry is so focused on this bonanza time of year that we need to finalise our Christmas range of Evergreen Wraps. No matter that we’ve only just managed to lose the excess Christmas pounds we’ve now got to turn our thoughts to all things turkey and mince pie related. But there are others worse off than us – spare a thought for the poor people that have to work in the gaudy grotto like Christmas Shop at London Bridge. We’ll let you see the new 2010 Christmas range as soon as it is ready, which unless we can overcome our current fear of all things Christmas may be a collection of Spring flowers and bunny rabbit designs. Merry Christmas.

What a fantastic surprise – I was listening to the Maccabees new album and half way through the playlist came across a 7 minute documentary film. The film, ‘Can You Give It’ was shot by James Caddick, and it follows the downhill race in Gloucestershire where hundreds of people chase down an impossibly steep hill after a round of cheese. The film follows a local lad in his bid to win the race for the fourth year in a row, and is simply brilliant – the character is brilliant, the filming is beautiful and it includes lots of slow-motion images of people falling over which bizarely look very graceful as they tumble and trip. If you’ve got a moment watch it. You’ll love it.
